Hi, I’m Yufei! I am a MS Computer Science student at the University of Washington. I’m incredibly fortunate to be working with Scott Geng and Prof. Pang Wei Koh on machine learning and natural language problems. I’ve also collaborated on distributed training for machine learning models with Megan Frisella in the SyFI Lab.

Previously, I’ve worked on large-scale systems and infrastructure projects as a Software Engineering Intern at LinkedIn and Amazon.

Alongside my studies, I love to teach! I am a graduate teaching assistant for Machine Learning, where I help students deepen their understanding of algorithms, optimization, and real-world applications.

Outside of academics, I like to stay active and curious:

  • Running half marathons (3 so far)
  • Training for an Ironman 70.3
  • Reading (My favorite author is Fredrik Backman! :))

Most importantly, I always find time to spend with my loved ones, who remind me of how truly precious life is.
